The Frost Forum for Research in Music, Education, and Sociocultural Context at the Frost School of Music is a community of scholars, comprised of fellows and faculty interested in and engaged with issues of relevance and importance to music education. Our mission is to create, apply, and refine knowledge that illuminates the understanding of music and education within its sociocultural context and to maintain a scholarly forum in which to share, discuss, and debate ideas.

Our Purpose:

  • freely exchange ideas
  • discuss and debate issues
  • conduct collaborative research
  • produce reports of our work within and beyond the Frost School of Music
